NID 2017-18 Admission Process Announced

National Institute of Design has announced 2017-18 admissions to its Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Graduate Diploma in Programme in Design (GDPD).  The B.Des is offered at its Ahmedadabad campus.  The GDPD programs are offered at NID-Vijayawada and NID-Kurukshetra.

Starting this year The National Institute of Design has authorised the All India Management Association, New Delhi, (AIMA) to process all its applications for the M.Des., B.Des. and GDPD programmes.  

Admission to all of the design courses will be granted on the basis of a two-stage competitive exam. 
Stage 1: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims will be conducted at various test centres across India (See Test Centres section). Candidates should note that appearing for the DAT Prelims or being ranked in the shortlist does not guarantee automatic entitlement to admission. 
Stage 2: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains Candidates shortlisted after the DAT Prelims will be invited to appear for the Stage 2 DAT Main exams at one of NID’s campuses in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru or Gandhinagar.

The last date to apply is 28th Nov, 2016.
The DAT-Prlim will be held on 8th Jan, 2017 across 23 cities.
